Excerpt from Introduction, Early New Zealand and European Exhibition catalogue:
“[The exhibition includes] a rare Flora Scales. There is something here for those with investment in mind and for those who just love the earlier work. It has been well documented that there has been a marked fall in auction prices for the moderns. These are now coming back to a more realistic level. However on attending the major art auctions this year, we are pleased to note an appreciation in the more traditional work. We believe the early traditional art has been proven and makes for a very sound investment. Above all it has an intrinsic beauty which we can enjoy and appreciate.”
