A project developed by New Zealand artist Ruth Buchanan. Spanning the entire contemporary art museum, each of its galleries were dedicated to a 10-year span. Flora Scales's Mixed Flowers [BC052] was included in the gallery dedicated to the 1970s (artwork no. 2).

Excerpt from The scene in which I find myself / Or, where does my body belong: 50 years of the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery Collection exhibition catalogue:
“This work was acquired from the artist after it was exhibited in her first official solo exhibition, a retrospective held at the Auckland Art Gallery in 1975. The exhibition toured to the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery the following year.”
